1. Administrative procedures and visa

To speed up processing times and support your French visa application, remember to bring all the documents that will show your treatment path and your support:

- Certificates from your attending physician
- Convocation of French hospitals
- Certificate of coverage from your employer or your insurance organization
- The Evadeô Pro coverage certificate which provides a guarantee to the consular authorities regarding the management of your accommodation and the financing of your stay

Whenever possible, opt for a 3-month visa application which will provide you with more comfort and peace of mind than a one-month visa.

2. Arrival at the airport

When you arrive at the airport, an Evadeô Pro agent will greet you. He will take you to your place of accommodation (see our reception centers or Our partners for hotel accommodation) and give you your reception file.
This file contains all the details relating to the progress of your stay.

3. Expenses and currency

Depending on the formula chosen and the nature of the services provided by your care organization or your employer, certain expenses may be chargeable to you:

• Food
• Some trips
• Washing clothes
• Personal expenses

The Evadeô Pro teams are fully prepared to provide you with these services. However, if you want to manage them on your own, it may be useful to set some benchmarks.

a. Change

If you wish to bring cash, we strongly advise you to change the change in euros in your country of residence, before coming for treatment in France (at the airport for example). The places to trade some currencies in Paris can be limited or relatively expensive in terms of commission.

1 € uro = 656 FCFA and is equivalent to approximately $ 1.35 (USA), or even approximately £ 0.7 (United Kingdom).

Payment by international bank card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) is also accepted in most points of sale in France, generally with a minimum purchase condition.

4. Accompanist

Depending on the formula chosen and the nature of the services provided by your care organization or your employer, certain expenses may be chargeable to you:

5. Transport

Evadeô Pro offers to manage your support for all your medical appointments as well as at the places of your choice (shopping, family visits, sightseeing tours, etc.).

However, if you want to manage certain trips on your own, Paris and its region have a relatively developed public transport network, which will make your daily life easier: buses, trams, metropolitan, Parisian trains and regional ...

Unlimited use of these transports requires the purchase of a specific card ("passNavigo"), the cost of which is between € 25 and € 50 per week depending on the geographical areas to be covered (purchase possible in all stations). Do not hesitate to ask our Evadeô Pro team for any advice.

Taxis from Paris and its region can also transport you to the places of your choice, at generally higher prices (between € 1 and € 1.50 per kilometer).

6. Keep in touch with your family!/h2>

a. By mail
Your family can send you mail to the hospital address, to the Evadeô Pro headquarters (our teams will bring it back to you) or to your accommodation.
If you receive mail at the hospital, it will be delivered to you by the vaguemaster or supervisor.
If you want to send mail, find out about the price of the stamp for sending to your country of residence. The prices differ depending on the place of delivery.

b. By phone
From your place of accommodation or your hospital room: under certain conditions, you can receive calls or make calls. The opening of the line and the communication costs are your responsibility.
From the hospital, ask the ward supervisor for the procedure to follow or call our team of medical visitors. From a phone booth: All you need to do is buy a phone card.
In a more convenient and economical way, we invite you to acquire a chip compatible with the French telephone network and to buy Lebara or other type recharge cards.

c. By internet (unlimited)
Our residence, our partner hospitals and all the accommodation offered by our hotel partners have Wi-Fi so you can stay in touch with your loved ones over the internet.

1. Administrative procedures and visa

VISA-POUR-ENFANT-MINEURTo speed the processing time and support your claim for a French visa, remember to bring all the documents that evidence your care course and your healthcare support: certificates from your physician, notice from the French hospitals, certificate from your employer or insurance company stating that your medical costs will be paid, and of course Evadeô Pro’s certificate that guarantees your accommodation and the financing of your stay to the consular authorities.

To the extent possible, opt for a 3 month visa. This will bring you more comfort and peace of mind that the one-month visa.

2. Arrival at the airport

Upon your arrival at the airport, an Evadeô Pro agent comes to welcome you. He drives you to your place of accommodation (see Our partners or Our places of accommodation in a hotel) and hands you your package documents. These contain all the details regarding your stay.

3. Expenses and currency

Depending on the option you have chosen and the nature of the services provided by the organization that funds your medical costs or your employer, some expenses may be charged to you:

• Personal expenses
• Etc.

Currency

If you want to bring cash, we recommend that you change your money to euros in your home country (e.g. at the airport) before coming to France for your treatment. The places offering to change certain currencies in Paris may be limited or charge relatively expensive commissions.

EUR 1 = FCFA 656 and is the equivalent of approximately USD 1.35 (USA) or approximately GBP 0.7 (UK).

Payment by international credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) is also accepted in most outlets in France, generally with a minimum purchase requirement.

Personal expenses

Please note that prices can vary dramatically. Plan ahead to manage your budget, think of all the expenditures you will need to incur until the end of your medical stay, and do not hesitate to ask our teams to guide you to the most appropriate outlets. Remember, Evadeô Pro is also happy to offer you its assistance for optional sightseeing and shopping sprees.

4. Escort

Depending on your age, your profile, your condition and the agreements signed with your employer or the organization handling your medical costs, you may consider being accompanied by the person(s) of your choice (relatives, friends, etc.) during your medevac to France. Don’t forget to inquire with the people concerned about the nature of costs covered for your escort’s stay.

In the case of a medical stay on your initiative, please send a request to our services for the organization and management of your escort(s).

In any event, Evadeô Pro’s teams offer accommodation for the escort(s), driving them to the places of their choice, as well as leisure activities for them (sightseeing, shopping, etc.) to enhance their stay.

Specific fun activities can also be offered for children.

Caution: your escort must also make sure to be in accordance with legal requirements (visa issuance) and vis-à-vis his employer.

5. Transport

Evadeô Pro offers to handle your accompaniment to all your medical appointments, as well as to the places of your choice (shopping, family visits, sightseeing, etc.).

However, if you want to manage some of your transportation by yourself, Paris and its region have a public transport network that is relatively developed and will facilitate your daily life: buses, trams, metro, trains travelling inside Paris and in the area, etc.

6. Stay in touch with your family!

• By snail mail

Your family can send mail to the address of the hospital, the headquarters of Evadeô Pro (our staff will bring it to you) or at your place of accommodation.

If you receive mail at the hospital, it will be given to you by the postman or the supervisor.

If you want to send mail, check the price of postage for sending to your country of residence. Rates differ depending on the destination.

• By phone

From your place of accommodation or your hospital room: under certain conditions, you can call or receive calls. The opening of the line and the cost of calls are your responsibility. From the hospital, ask the supervisor of the department about the procedure or turn to our team of medical visitors.

From a phone booth: simply buy a phone card.

As a more convenient and economical solution, we recommend that you purchase a SIM card that is compatible with the French telephone network and purchase Lebara or similar top-ups.

• By the Internet (unlimited)
